Mid month August 2025
At roughly 9 AM July 10 - we ran into a deer. We never even saw it as it was gone by time we got stopped.
Lucky for us the damage was superficial and nothing mechanical was damaged.
We were able to proceed on to Billings Montana.
Our insurance had a “Sister Shop” in Butte so we decided to have the work done there.
It took a total of 21 days and on July 31 the body work was done but the fiberglass work could not be done here.
This turned out to be an excellent choice because while everywhere else it was hot our temperatures never got higher than mid 80’s.
The first 5 days we spent at the Homestake Pass Campsite, the rest of the time in transit sightseeing.
One side trip was to Deer Lodge for the Montana Prison Complex Museum.
Butte has been a most hospitable host for a less than perfect situation.
